Complex lighting needs across a major residential project
Metro Apartments was the first home development in Oran Park’s new town centre. Developer Greenfields needed large quantities of various fixtures for the new complex. The lighting required for the multi-apartment block included:
- A minimum of 3 different styles of downlights
- Carpark lighting, including surface-mount and canopy luminaires
- Garden spike spotlights
- Exterior wall mounted LED lighting and recessed bricklight luminaires
- Drivers to power all the fixtures
Specifications like phase dimmable, degrees of light output and dimensions were also considered. The electrical contractors wanted a partner with experience in big home projects. They needed someone who could manufacture their order and deliver them on time. Industralight was trusted to manage, manufacture and supply the large order and meet deadlines.
Our detailed process ensures lighting performs exactly as planned
Our team looked at electrical drawings and light schedules from the electrical contractors. We collated data sheets for every light type. This made sure they met AS/NZS 60598.1:2020 standards for light requirements. This careful work helped us find the best lights for each space. After approval, we ran lighting tests using computer software. We modelled car park lighting and downlights in typical apartment rooms. These tests showed how each light would work in real life giving confidence in the fixtures selected. We worked closely with the project team on specifications and delivery times. This showed our commitment to getting it right.
