At The Ville, the experience starts before you place a bet
The Ville is Townsville’s home for gaming, dining and entertainment. With over 370 gaming machines and more than 20 table games, it is a venue built on experience. So when the team decided it was time to upgrade the lighting, a simple replacement wasn’t going to work.
The gaming floor at The Ville has personality. Curved surfaces, decorative columns, and wall panels give the space its character. Velvet seating, marble bars and reception desks, and plush carpets, add to the luxury feel of the casino. The lighting needed to emphasise and elevate the moody experience. The Ville needed layered, moody lighting that kept the drama of the space while illuminating each zone.
The entry to the casino needed to provide a premium feel. The columns and wall panels were designed as features. The ceilings needed depth, not just brightness. And the striplighting needed to follow curves and corners seamlessly.
A premium feel with custom strip lighting products
As a lighting manufacturer delivering to Queensland, Industralight can provide custom products. Our in-house production team develops and assembles fixtures for easy installation. This meant the curved surfaces and custom lengths required at The Ville were simple.
We used a version of the VRX striplight to fit out the interiors at the entry and throughout the gambling floor. Flexible mounting profiles designed for the space were also supplied. The lighting could then follow the architecture of the building features uninterrupted. The profiles were cut-to-length and assembled, ready for the electrical contractors on site.
The XT series panel lighting provides uniform, consistent lighting across the ceiling. A number of architectural LED floodlights were installed externally. And VTN-D and VXS battens were used to illuminate other areas of the casino.

Striplighting that follows every curve with ambient illumination
The finished casino floor at The Ville feels luxurious with an invigorating atmosphere. The lighting is moody and layered without being overbearing or gaudy.
The striplighting running around the columns and curved surfaces offers subtle illumination. And as the profiles were manufactured to fit the building, the lines are continuous and clean. There are no breaks, no awkward joins, and no compromise on the finish. Throughout the ceilings, strip and downlights work together to add depth to the space. The wall panels carry weight as features rather than blending into the background. And at the entry, the lighting sets the tone from the moment guests arrive.
For the electrical contractors, a well-prepared project made for a cleaner install. Correctly specified products and custom components built to spec meant a quick install. And the result matched the overall brief and vision for the gambling establishment. The Ville Casino now has LED lighting that fits the venue it serves. Atmospheric, precise, and genuinely considered from the entry through to the gaming floor.
