Long-lasting, low-glare lighting for an open-plan workspace with limited natural light
Australian Radio Towers needed linear lighting for their open-plan office in Murwillumbah. We talked with the customer about their space and learnt about their challenges. The office had almost no windows. There were only skylights and one window at the entry. So, natural light was very limited. The building had an angled wall, making it an unusual floor plan. Screen glare was a big concern for staff using computers all day. And the team wanted lighting that would stretch across their workspace. They needed it to help productivity and make viewing comfortable. We took time to understand what they wanted before we suggested solutions.
Precisely mapped custom linears using 3D modelling and lighting simulations
We picked connectable linear profiles to span the space over desks. Then Industralight engineers built 3D models and lighting simulations. This let us map lighting exactly where it was needed. The linear LEDs selected provide even light while minimising glare for screen work. The 110-degree beam angle and excellent colour rendering made working comfortable. Our team designed around the skylights, over work desks and aligned with the angled wall.
As one of our more popular lighting systems, this linear series is ideal for spanning wide areas. The connectable lengths can be used singularly or joined for longer seamless illumination. These have been used in projects like:
- Education projects like the University of Western Sydney
- Industrial spaces like this repair hub
- Office and working hubs like the Guild Insurance HQ

A comfortably bright space that supports working productivity all day
The Australian Radio Towers’ office now has precision-designed, long-lasting lighting. The team can now work comfortably with ideal light levels with low glare on screens. While there is very little natural light, the office feels bright and welcoming. Our advanced LED technology is easy on the eyes and energy bills. Industralight lighting meets Australian standards from the office desks to the kitchenette. From product selection to simulations, our team is up for any unusual project. We deliver ready-made and custom luminaires for fast solutions that meet strict specifications.
